Teva Pharmaceuticals Recalls Single Lot of Flutamide Capsules 125 mg
Teva Pharmaceuticals USA has recalled a single lot of Flutamide Capsules, 125 mg. Lot number J05761 has been recalled because of a report that an Imatinib mesylate 100 mg capsule was found in one of the bottles of Flutamide Capsules, 125 mg from lot J05761.
Imatinib mesylate, also known as Gleevec is used to treat certain types of leukemia and other cancers of the blood cells. Imatinib is also used to treat gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) as well certain types of skin cancer.
Flutamide is used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Flutamide is also sold under the brand name Eulexin. No other lots, strengths, or brands of Flutamide were involved in this recall.
